What sets us apart
We pick up the phone. It’s that simple. While the Muskoka Region is defined by luxury and the great Canadian outdoors, it became very evident that it was lacking one key ingredient – customer service. At Sunset Docks Muskoka, we pride ourselves on always answering the phone providing a customer centric experience that is focused on providing products that will elevate your waterfront living.
How it Started
While Sunset Docks Muskoka was incorporated in 2022, the idea was born from many years of construction-related work within the region of Muskoka. As a multi-generational cottaging family, the love of being on the water has translated into a business where we get to do what we enjoy daily. With a family-driven business model, we continually endeavour to provide your family with a worry-free waterfront environment.

What We Do
— And Why It Works
Muskoka waterfronts call for more than off-the-shelf solutions — not because they’re extreme, but because owners care deeply about their properties and how they’re used. From family cottages passed down through generations to newer custom builds, the expectation is the same: systems that are well thought out, professionally installed, and dependable season after season.
At Sunset Docks & Lifts Muskoka, we specialize in boat lift systems and steel pile dock installations, with a focus on long-term reliability and protecting your investment. We work with a wide range of clients — from local cottage owners to business leaders and public figures — all of whom trust us to deliver solutions that fit their property and lifestyle. No matter the project size, every client receives the same level of care, attention, and professionalism.
We are intentional about what we offer, working with carefully selected manufacturers and components we trust. Proper lift sizing, correct load distribution, and professional installation standards are non-negotiable — because safety, performance, and boat protection matter.
This approach allows us to deliver waterfront systems that are dependable, well-planned, and built to last — without unnecessary complexity.
Every project starts with a complimentary site visit. We assess your shoreline, water depth, exposure, access, and boat requirements to ensure the right solution is identified from the beginning.
Where required, we also work hand-in-hand with clients, municipalities, and other professionals to navigate permitting, approvals, and minor variance planning — helping keep projects moving smoothly and in compliance.Following the site visit, we provide a clear, detailed quote outlining the recommended system and scope of work. No pressure — just the information you need to make an informed decision.
Once approved, your project is scheduled within a guaranteed installation window. We plan our work carefully so clients know what to expect and when — reducing uncertainty during the busy season.
Our experienced crews handle installation with care and precision, ensuring every system is installed correctly, safely, and to a consistently high standard.
Our relationship doesn’t end at installation. We follow up after completion and provide reminders for seasonal service, adjustments, and future needs.
How Our Process Works
We believe the experience matters just as much as the final result. Our process is designed to be clear, professional, and stress-free — from first conversation to long-term support.
